Welcome to Bowie Elementary! We are proud of our responsibility to be the very best. Our top priority is providing the best education possible in an environment dedicated to meeting the needs of each and every child.

Bowie Elementary will use the Nine Characteristics of High-Performing Schools as our guide this year as we continue to develop our curriculum and lessons around higher-order thinking skills and high expectations. Our goal for this year will be to ensure that each of the nine characteristics is implemented in a manner that provides opportunities for the success of each child.

On a final note, we have made some changes to the morning traffic pattern. Parents wishing to park and enter the school in the morning should use the entrance from Upper Montague Road and park in the north parking lot. In order to ensure the safety of all students (so that students are not crossing in front of vehicles), there will be no parking in the south lot from 7:40 to 8:00. We will have extra staff on hand, including myself, to help with the traffic flow.
